World Receivers / £36.00
This publication has been produced to coincide with the exhibition World Receivers, Zabludowicz Collection, London, 21 March - 7July 2019.
The artists in World Receivers explore recent approaches to portraiture, but definitions are slippery and unstable. Such is the state of individuals and identity in the early 21st century that depicting oneself or another in any medium is loaded and politically complicated. Creativity in all its forms, be it making, writing or music, are embodied here: the artworks, the exhibition playlist, the public programme of events, performances and this publication – featuring special submissions from the artists – combine to enhance our understanding of the diversity of portraiture and art practice today.
This publication documents the exhibition, and includes a foreword by Director, Elizabeth Neilson, individual artist pages, and an essay by Curator, Tiffany Zabludowicz.
